Hello again digital payments community! I’m thrilled to be speaking with everyone again, as there are several different stories, events and important developments in the world of digital commerce that we should discuss.
We believe that data is perhaps the most crucial piece of the authentication puzzle. Without it, fewer transactions get authenticated, and subsequently authorized, fewer consumers are happy at the end of the day, merchants are often left feeling frustrated and issuers are stuck making decisions without all of the possible information at their disposal.
We’re confident that EMV 3-D Secure (commonly referred to as 3-D Secure 2.0) will enhance the larger digital commerce space for issuers, merchants and consumers. But how will this new protocol do all that?
I’m back! I hope all of you enjoyed our recent series on PSD2 SCA, its exemptions, and the different approaches that certain merchants are taking regarding these exemptions. More importantly, I hope you found these posts to be informative and insightful, and that you will be able to use this information to effectively prepare for the upcoming PSD2 SCA deadline, which arrives in September.
