Saint Martin De Porres Senior Spotlight

For the third year, students from Cleveland's Saint Martin De Porres High School joined our team as part of their Corporate Work Study Program. We’re proud to provide these students with a hands-on work experience that fits into the school's unique experience-based education.IMG_4728

In the fall, we welcomed Kamilla Gray, Destyne Hurt, Ta’Niya Johnson and Patricia Simmons to Cardinal. These students work five days per month in roles that let them explore different career paths, build relationships and develop important life skills. Balancing life at school with a professional work study takes hard work - which is why these students are invaluable players to our team.

As one last final project, we asked them to share some of their key takeaways with us. From learning new skills to participating in fun company events, they presented their work study experience to our leadership team and supervisors. Great job ladies!

We also want to give a special shoutout to graduating senior, Destyne Hurt. During her four years in the program, Destyne worked in different roles where she found a passion in medicine and her dream college. She received a scholarship to Canisius College, in Buffalo, where she’ll be studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine. We’re lucky to have had Destyne join us during her last year at Saint Martin, and we wish her the best of luck in college. Congrats Destyne!

It’s bittersweet saying good-bye to our students as they leave for the summer, but we know they have a bright future ahead. We look forward to following their achievements in high school and beyond.
